Daily Progression — Mobile Games Development Course
I’ve just finished the 2.5D course and felt like I learned a lot but after looking at my fellow peers work, I could be adding a little more originality in my games and articles. Admittedly, when I started the bootcamp, I still felt like a bit of a noob and not quite ready to take on actual projects. I guess maybe it’s because I’ve felt imposter syndrome about a lot of things I’ve been wanting to do all my life like art, game design, and programming, but after taking the course, it’s been a real eye-opening on how others approach problems and challenges and it’s taught me to be more bold in terms of approaching new things.
For the past few months, I’ve been cramming on Unity non-stop and I feel like I can let up on the pedal a little so I can start again on 3D and art as well as writing so I can blend them all into a cohesive whole in my daily practice.
That said, I’ve started a new github project called DungeonEscapeC6 (Course 6) and I did have to revert back to reading my first git article to get things working correctly. I also logged into the GameDevHQ FileBase to download the next courses assets in preparation for the upcoming class lectures.
I’ll be using the given assets for the course, and I’m going to attempt making my own game with original assets and I’ll be journaling about it here.
As I’m also interested in other things like character design, illlustration, animation and 3D, I’m going to see about writing articles about that as well, sharing my journey as well as sharing techniques I pick up.
